New Diary Missing Pages... What Can I Do?

So recently (in the past 3 weeks) I purchased a 2014 diary from WH Smiths, it is a nice hardback diary & it wasn't super cheap (£10-15 ish). As I like to have things all set up to go, I sat down today and took the stickers off & started writing out birthdays/anniversaries etc, all was well and good until I reached July, when I realised there are 2 1/2 weeks worth of diary pages missing, it literally jumps from July 1st to July 19th.
I really want to take it back to WH Smiths and either ask for a replacement or a refund, however I cannot find the receipt anywhere, so I'm not sure what my options are? I don't know if the fact that I've written in the diary will affect what they can/will do for me?

Take 18 days off and put your feet up0

Did you pay for it on a card? As a statement is often all you need to prove it.
+1 for just asking them though - they're human, even though they work for WHSmiths.0 -
It doesn't matter if you've started to fill things in. The goods are faulty and so you are entitled to a remedy.
Is it a branded WHS diary? If not then you may need to provide some form of proof of purchase. But until you ask you won't know.0 -
I find WHSmiths are really good about taking things back, especially if faulty, so I would just try them.0

I used to work for WH Smiths. Their whole ethos is doing what the customer asks. You shouldn't have any problems exchanging it without a receipt.0

OP - when you go back into Whsmith check if the same diary on the shelf has the same issues. That would help support your argument and they'll also be glad you told them.0

Thanks for the help all! Now making the trip into town0

Did they replace it?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Enquiring minds need to know!
(Look, we're curious as squirrels - What Happened?! Please tell us!)0
