Pipe Insulation - Loft insulation suitable?

Morning All
I've just had a new boiler put in, the boiler has been installed in what is currently the garage, soon to be a utility room. However due to a delay in building work, I now have 5 pipes (hot and cold water, heating to and from flow and gas pipe) that run about 2 meters through the garage before they enter the main house. Even though this is watertight, im concerned that the might freeze as there is no heating there. I was thinking that I could build a box around them, seal it up and stuff it with spare loft insulation, would this be suitable? are there any issues with using loft insulation for such purposes? would this even be enough to keep them freezing?
Any advice appreciated

Why bother. Standard pipe insulation is much easier to install, and is very effective, and neat in appearance. You can have the job done in an hour or so.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Unfortunately I bought the standard insulation but the pipes are quite close together - Within 5mm, so it doesn't fit properly0

Box & loft insulation will be fine0

You can get the silver bubble roles fairly cheaply, Aldi had some recently and a local store still sells it.
I have some of that and then some stitched pipe lagging like
this
wrapped on top of the silver on two close pipes, return and feed in my lounge. Wickes were selling it cheaper the last time I looked. It took some hours to do as the pipes could not be moved because they go through the ceiling.0
