It is my 7 year old Nephew's birthday on the 1st of July.
My OH and i have just been granted an IVA which will leave us with very little per month to spend on things like presents etc.
What is the cheapest most expensive looking present i can get him, bearing in mind his mum is a bit of a snob (my sister)

Argos have some good toys in their sale - Dr Who, Transformers etc. A £20 12" Cyberman for £4.99 was about the best deal I could see for my 6 year old.
There are colouring chests/art sets in Wilkinsons for good prices too, if you'd rather give something less commercial.

Thanks i will have a look on the weekend!
I don't have children, so it makes it rather difficult LOL!0 -
Do you shop at Tesco's? Could you take him out for the day courtesy of tesco clubcard vouchers? Then all you'd need would be a picnic and an ice cream ... and surely his Mum would give him some spending money???
I think a 7 year old would love a day out.That's Numberwang!0 -
I hope I am not breaking rules with this recommendation, but my OH's cousins are really well off, unlike us. I always get their kids stuff from Hawkins Bazaar - it's unusual, old fashioned, reasonably priced and I have just said lots of rude words when I found out that they were on Quidco - if I had found out last year I would have made a fortune!
Also, I always try to get all extras, eg if I buy pens I also buy paper.
HTH
