Anyone have any advice on making these sound better ? When it comes to answering questions on application forms or in interviews, I knoe what to say its putting into into words that will make someone want to employ me that's the issue
Told my work programme advisor today and response was that basically I should know what to put and will get help with interviews but not application form questions - or that's how it sounded to me. Apparently there are people out of work for 20 years who can't even work a computer - felt like saying whats the point in me being here then I might as well jobsearch at home
I'm not saying I want her to do the questions for me, I'll do them. I'd just like her to read over them before I send them off to places to make sure its the right kind of stuff and applications the best they can be

What kind of questions do you have?
To be honest, most questions on application forms are just asking why you want the job, how do you fulfil the criteria, what experience do you have, why do you think you are suitable for the role... the type of questions that nobody else can really answer for you.

Claire_MUFC the WP are meant to help with application forms - I thought you said last night they do this for you?
Yeah like I told you last night my WP left people to set up email addresses who had never used a PC before either. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Post the questions on here that you find hard to answer, no point in asking the job centre staff as most of them aren't up to the job0

Oh I know they aren't the kind of questions others can answer for you, totally get that. All I wanted is to write the answers myself and get help in re-wording them if needed0

Haha, well I thought they would they've helped with everything else and keep saying that if I'm not sure on anything to ask them, so ask my advisor today and basically says to be honest its stuff you should be able to answer or something, others who don't know how to use conputers need their helpClaire_MUFC the WP are meant to help with application forms - I thought you said last night they do this for you?

I know how to answer them, just my wording isn't probably the greatest. Today gor instance had to do a cover letter but my advisor re worded most of it to sell me more
I've got an application for a receptionist with about 10 questions, I'm so tempted to answers the questions and then forward It to advisor in morning to get across I'm not expecting her to answer the stuff for me, I just want her help with the wording0

Here's one then:Just give us 2 questions you don't know how to answer and we can give or suggest tips?
What part would you play in delivering One of a Kind service as part of our front office team?
But like I say, I don't want them answered for me. My way of learning is to have a go myself, then show someone and find how it could be worded better or if anythung needs adding / removing.
Thats how I passed my A Level Business, predicted grade F based on GCSEs. Worked guts off doing practice questions, then showing teacher and finding out if they were good, what could be improved etc. Got a C as final grade which to me was like an A0

Would it be such a daft thing to say to my advisor, look I don't want you to answer them for me. Alls I want is you to read through them afterwards and see if wording could be better or if I need to add anything in
She wants me in jobsearch twice a week now, back in on Fri afternoon. Whats the point if help is not allowed0
