galvanised body - any good, what cars

    being galvanised is all well and good, but if the underbody protection was designed poorly which allows water to kick up from the tyres onto the underbody and get trapped, eventually the water will corrode through the steel.

    I think that's the problem with these cheap "rustbuckets" they cheap out on some of these areas so they're prone to rusting.

    I have a 1989 Audi, it's very galvanised. I routinely see cars that are at least 10 years younger than it with far more rust on.
    Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
    Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
