How can i rebuild

Ok long story made short, i got a credit card a few years back, maxed it out missed various minimum payments and eventually went to a debt managment agency who took over the debt and i now pay them every month.
As you can expect this whole ordeal has completly runined my credit score. I was very immature back then and didnt think of the consequences.
Now i have grown up and realised what ive done i want to start to build it back up to show i am a trustworthy person but dont know how.
HELP!!!

Hello there.
The simplest way is to ensure that you meet your credit commitments on time. Some banks and mobile telephone firms report to the credit reference agencies, so as long as you are paying your bills on time you will gradually build up your score over time.
If the old credit card 'defaulted' you should see a notable increase in your credit score once that default has fallen off your file - this is after 6 years.
We're a useful fact sheet covering credit referencing on our website here: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=05_credit_reference_agencies

This will tell you the best cards for bad credit scores. I am 18 years old and I don't have a credit history so I got a Vanquis card and I pay it off in full every single month. I also have a phone contract as well. They are not that hard to get either. To boost your credit score you need to show that you can have credit and pay it off and not miss any payments.
A few tips I would advice of is to not apply for loads and loads. Use the checker to see what your likeliness is of getting a credit card. Apply for two of them and then if you get rejected then you are going to need to wait six months and then apply again.
Do not have a look at your 'CREDIT SCORE' on Experian because its worthless and those numbers don't mean a thing. What a company looks for is how 'attractive' you are to them. You have to meet certain criteria. There isn't a certain score that you can have. You will look good to some companies and then terrible to others.
It is worth paying £2 on Experian and checking your files. Making sure everything is correct.
I hope this helps and if you have any other questions just ask. Good luck!0
