IB to ESA without ATOS?

I was moved from IB to ESA without having to see ATOS as well.
... there were some major screw ups in my case though ... I was told via the initial phonecall from the DWP that I was successful that I was in the WRAG but when my letter arrived it said I was in the Support Group ... after a few phonecalls it turned out I was really in the WRAG, although never once did they send me confirmation of that in writing ... a year, a tribunal and lots of phonecalls later I'm finally really in the Support Group ... and have a letter to that effect ...
... and six weeks after my tribunal and lots more phonecalls later I actually spoke to a someone at the DWP today who worked out all by himself that I'm in the support group ... and appeared to know what he was talking about! ... I was shocked!
Anyway ... yes it is possible to avoid ATOS ... but just occasionally (I have three from the past year) they send out the wrong letter, so it's worth paying attention! x0
