Obviously written by a journalist instead of a mathematician.

If salaries rise by 0.2% in a one year period, but energy prices go up by 9.2%, do you then say that energy prices went up 46 times more than salaries over the last year?

Stupid measure of different degrees of growth.

Whilst a large majority of the population worry about how to keep warm in the winter,spare a thought for our political masters. We the public pay to heat their second homes, and in one case the other week a Tory MP's horse stables.How can the Prime Minister and other MPs understand what we are all complaining about? The gulf between the Government and us appears to widen every year.Maybe one of them will volunteer to live in a cold house just to see how miserable it is. Posting this wearing two jumpers(took David Cameron s advice)plus a body warmer. Motto Up the Revolution!
