Leaking Shower - PRD - Does it need to be replaced?

I think the Pressure Release Device on my shower has blown. The shower is leaking from behind the hose.

My question is; does this need to be replaced? I'm getting a wet room fitted in January; and obviously my existing shower will be removed. I'd prefer not to pay for a repair with only around two months of use?

The leaking isn't bad; and at present the leak runs from the shower itself down the hose and goes in the bath.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

I think you answered your own question. If you can live with it until January, then do so.

I meant from a safety point of view. :) sorry I really didn't make that clear.

If you're concerned because it's an electric shower, the best bet would be to get someone to look at it, although you would hope it was designed not to dump water over the electrcial components.
