Parking eye `Payment Reminder`

Hi Guys/gals,

New to the forum and after reading maybe a few too many threads i`m finding myself a little confused,

Story is....Ive been working away from home for a few weeks came home to find a `reminder` for a 30 min overstay in a Home Bargains free car park, I am the RK....The reminder shows the car in/out with pictures of reg plate.

Then the Mrs gave me the original notice delivered 10 days prior, I am still within my timescale to appeal to PE....So am i right in thinking that the best way forward is to appeal to PE requesting a POPLA reference number for independent appeal and send complaint letters to PE and the store/land owner?

Obviously i could send the drivers details to drag it out a bit but is it really worth it...Especially if i was the driver...Not that i would admit that of course ?

Now this is where im getting a bit confused, Ive seen a few letter templates but unsure which would be best....Any advice or links would be appreciated and any other useful tips if there are any,

Many Thanks.

This takes you all the way through dealing with your PCN. You will need to do a good bit of reading to get up to speed with things, but the more you get to know, the better you'll be able to handle this and the better the chance of success.

Yep, do that. And only write as the registered keeper, not talking about who was driving nor implying it. :)

send complaint letters to PE and the store/land owner?

Your complaint to Home Bargains for the not so free car park after all should be quite forceful - be upset and dismayed that as a genuine regular customer you are being treated in this manner and demand that they as the principal instruct their agent PE to cancel this charge.

Complain store manager first (preferably in writing/email - then try HO and if retail outlet find out managing agent/landowner.

Parking Eye are the most litigous of all the parking companies however they also do cancel parking charges when appeals are made with an accompanying proof of purchase - copy receipts or redacted bank/credit card statements for example. (It is often in their "contract" (should they have one and/or the legal powers of pursual) that they cancel a certain percentage of genuine customers charges)
