Ah well, it's been some time since we last had the "I've got/won/saved/sold a business and now have £xx million and want advice type threads.
  • to the OP.

Ignore these negative posts, I've got a list of places where you can buy good cheap repo property.

The list is yours for £10k (cash).

Is your friend looking to transfer the money from a West African country via Western Union?
  • Thanks to all for wonderful replies! :j

So we can now safely surmise that everyone who seeks help is either troll or cheat.

I will be glad if for a change someone was to offer a genuine reply than being sarcastic or skeptical.
  • If you were to read carefully, I am being offered to work for the investor, I am not the experienced investor.

I have been part of a few fabulous forums over the time and have come to believe that they are best places to get frank and sincere info about anything. :T All the professional invariably advice you to their own advantage only.

If I were to spend years purchasing 'over 100 investment properties' and was so successful that I had another £1,000,000 cash to invest, the first thing I'd do would be to come to an anonymous forum to ask where to find such properties.... :rotfl:

Well, you could help matters if you answered some posters' doubts by explaining the circumstances, ie why an experienced property investor puts a friend in charge of £1m and leaves him to ask beginner's questions on a general internet forum.

You have to admit, it does look odd, especially when you act as though this is all perfectly normal, which it isn't by a long shot.

Certainly not, as many tens of thousands of replies on these boards will testify

There are many trolls on MSE posting unlikely or hard to believe scenarios, how is anyone to distinguish a genuine question from one of these when there is little to tell them apart

I note you have said nothing to allay these thoughts so I'll give you the opportunity again -

Why has an experienced property investor approached someone who has little idea of where to start, to start working for him?

I think the boards are very helpful and there are some incredibly knowledgeable people here who are happy to help those who are genuinely looking for assistance and not to further their own ends.

As per the previous 2 replies the number of posters on this forum who rock up saying they have £1 million to buy houses is not exactly huge. And when that person says they are doing it on behalf of an investor who already owns 100 houses it rings alarm bells.

Why does this investor need assistance to buy properties when they have successfully bought so many already? Surely they have methods and contacts to get where they are already.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I just think the whole scenario is rather odd, your friend is running what I guess is a long established and successful model which has made money. Im guessing he wants to continue to grow his business but unlike many other businesses, he doesnt seek 'expert' consultancy, but instead approaches an ameteur for guidance?

What value are you adding, what are you being paid for?
