Hi, I haven't posted here for a while now. Work has been getting me down and they took two months to pay my overtime. AHHH!I have cut down my spendings a lot. I just feel I haven't made a lot of progress.
I need to update my SOA, my rent has gone up slightly due to an overpayment of housing benefit. My gas and electic have been reduced tho *yay*!!It was £63 now £35 (after switching to a cheaper tarriff with Npower) I have reduced my consumption, and I able to check online and compare it to the previous year.
I am taking part in a few challenges:
Crazy Clothes 2014
February Grocery
Frugal living 2014
I have posted on these alot, so I have still been trying!!
My 0% interest on my Lloyds credit card ended in Jan, so I transferred £692.82 on to my barclay card (all I was allowed lol) 0% until June. So last month I cleared the remaining balance of £564.81.
Oh CSA have finally chased up my Ex, I am getting £60.71 for 12 weeks, then it goes down to £30 pw. I have decided to start saving £15pw to help towards the Holidays/Christmas. When I am DF I will save a lot more.
Thanks for reading

So I have spent 80p today
. Went to the park with DD for about an hour, took a lil picnic. Then popped to Sainsbury's so DD could spend her giftcard, I was very good and didn't buy anything
. Had free cake and hot chocolate in John Lewis, got DD a glass of milk which is where I spent the 80p.
We're having a roast for dinner (turkey) and I think I might make some flapjack later.Debts CC1 1424 // CC2 1836.65 // CC3 [STRIKE]973.40[/STRIKE] 823.70 // CC4 [STRIKE]609.05[/STRIKE] 459.04 // Very [STRIKE]422.25[/STRIKE] ah now 533.53

Good to see you back and it looks like you are doing really well and joined some good challenges. I've found a good one called 'Pay your debts off by Christmas 2014' which I've joined and it keeps me motivated. I won't pay all my debts off but I've set myself a target for 2014. Good luck.:jBlitz that mortgage

Hey, sorry I hadn't realised you had posted back!!I might pop into that one and have a browse
.
The challenges are really helping!
I've decided to put my DD on to hot meals at schoool. It'll be £11.25 a week, but she isn't eating her pack lunches, and she's tired a lot atm. I think she's bored of them. An extra cost, but she'll only need a sandwich or something small to eat when we get home. I get free lunch at work, will properly start having my main meal then too.
My sister wants to start taking my DD swimming. It's £30 for 12 sessions but she said she'd go halves. It's £15 if I want to join tho

I rang up n power today as I'm in £282 in credit. Getting £194 back as I haven't been billed Oct until Feb. I'm happy with that
.
I'm hoping to have £100 left at the end of the month.
I've been invited out Saturday. I haven't been out for a while but it's I'm Brighton. We'd be getting a train there and then first train back in the morning. so I can see it being an expensive eve. Still deciding whether to go or to just have a few drinks in town where I live.
Going for afternoon tea with a colleague from work. She's been off due to an op. Should be about £4 each. Might get my brows threaded (Ouch) I haven't bought myself anything for a while and used christmas money for Debts.Debts CC1 1424 // CC2 1836.65 // CC3 [STRIKE]973.40[/STRIKE] 823.70 // CC4 [STRIKE]609.05[/STRIKE] 459.04 // Very [STRIKE]422.25[/STRIKE] ah now 533.53

It's hard to know what to feed kids in their lunches because you know yourself how boring sandwiches get - I used to have the same problem when mine were little. Their school dinners though had no nutrition in them (I think things have changed in the last 5 years so probably much better now) so whilst not that healthy either I would sometimes send them HM sausage or cheese and onion rolls, HM flapjacks, cereal bars and sometimes a flask of HM soup and some bread. If school dinners work better for your DD they're worth going for as you can still make a good healthy sandwich when she gets home and include good stuff like fruit and yoghurts.:)
Free lunch at work sounds good - I would definitely eat at work if it was free:rotfl:Blitz that mortgage

You pay 6 days in advance, which is good if she doesn't like them lol, there's also a menu online so I know what she'll be eating
. I don't like sandwiches really. I'll prob batch make soup, do jackets etc and as you said fruit and yog

My barclaycard is £4426.12 atm, interested needs to be added tho
estimated £61.44!!Hoping to pay £350 extra off it this month, we'll see tho!!
I can transfer £1900 on to my Lloyds for 6 months, not sure whether to do that or not. I won't be able to pay it all off in that time, but hopefully I can get the BC down and be offered a 0% transfer balance. I tend to get them, but my BC is near the limit atm, so I don't have enough funds too. Yesterday I went for coffee with a colleague, she paid. My turn next time, if she lets me!!I got my eyebrows threaded (ouchness) £5. I saw a friend in town, cut the story short ended up going to spoons with my bf, her and her partner. It was nice to socialise
. £10.09 spent on food there. AHHH!£2 in poundland.
I met up with my mum today, she bought me food and a drink
.
My daughter goes to her dads next week
, so I will have my main meal at work, I'll prob make some soup, or buy some. So hopefully I won't spend too much next week. I'm hoping it'll stay dry, so I can get out in the garden. Going to re-sort out the flat too
