    Yep - I've had that for a few days, and I'm 'UNKNOWN' at the top.

    Can't really think that it's worth the effort of putting in a complaint though

    I've had the same for the last few days.

    Sent them a secure message and they replied telling me to ring them - which I might do when I get round to it.
  • Im confused, mines had said Unknown for the past 4 years, what is the actual issue with this, or it having your maiden name?

    It shows on my credit file as being my account, any payments people have wanted to make to me have been fine, any payments i have wanted to make have been fine etc, so what does it really matter what is shows on your screen? Is causing you any actual problems?

    Mine showed as my maiden name until a few days ago now it shows as "unknown user" - but it still shows my accounts etc, so it's not a big deal - not worth compensation anyway.

    After I changed my name, I went to the bank to get the name on the cards changed and when the letter came it was addressed to

    Mrs X Married Surname

    but the card was still issued with the name

    Miss X Maiden Name

    How the system even allowed that I don't know!

  • I think it is a problem - they seem unable to handle my identity securely and safely i.e. without losing the integrity of the data.
    If they can't get my name right how do I trust them with my cash!!

    If you have requested they sort it, then of course they should do this, however i dont think you can say its a breech of security or safety, just seems like a minor irritation at most, not sure excatly what the basis of your compensation claim would be, as you dont appear to have suffered any loss.
  • I have had serious issues with my business account online since they upgraded the old Alliance & Leicester online banking.
    I am now 3 months down the line & the problems have not been fully rectified.

    it's not the first time they've had trouble with my name change in the last two years, that's why I'm so frustrated!
    it such a vital piece of information and people must need to change their name following marriage every day - and yet they seem unable to cope with this!

    Don't suppose there is also a big banner telling you how much they have charged you...thought not.

    That would really be a waste of space since it should not be beyond the average person to remember that the current account monthly charge (which appears in transactions and on statements) is £2, and the credit card is £24 a year. It's quite different with all the cashback and interest - odd amounts, multiples each month on cashback - so it is a nice idea to be able to see at a glance how much extra you made.

    Also, the "What is this?" spells out quite clearly:
    The amount shown does not take into account the 123 Current Account £2 monthly account fee and/or the 123 Credit Card £24 annual fee. 123 account earnings include primary and secondary card/account holdings.

    Having said this, the presentation could have been smarter because the space could have been used better.
