Warning to everyone!!!
This insurance company regularly comes out top or very close on price comparison sites for car insurance.
Even though all information processed through the comparison sites is accurate, Performance Direct act out a few little tricks on their own site along with compulsory security checks, which they will deliberately delay carrying out to maximise the probability of 'you' providing 'them' inaccurate details.
I was 'lucky' enough to only lose the £55 admin fee after paying a deposit for cover to commence the following day (premium £400), calling them to confirm details and they then state 'I' had declared I would no longer be using a company car.
Apparently their own site had a check box which just happened to be automatically set to this statement. Although, I still couldn't find it.
Anyhow, because of wrong info, the premium raised to £900. I duly said I did not want to take any cover and could I have a refund of my deposit.
Yes was the reply, minus our admin fee of £55.
So, £55 for buying nothing, the policy had not even become active. Only a 10 minute telephone call.
I have subsequently read other peoples horror stories regarding this company, so please heed this warning!!!
