:mad::mad::mad: Having rung Utilita 3 times in the last 9 days and speaking to 4 different people it seems that no one there is actually trained to give any help at all.
Yesterday after being on the phone for 25 mins I decided to give up trying to get the help I needed and told the guy I was going to write to the company. I asked for the address of the actual office he was working from so I knew my letter would get to the correct department.
The conversation went as follows-
Me- Can I have your address please.
Him- Err, I don't know it.
Me- So how did you get there this morning (yes, sarcastic I know but if you heard the earlier exchanged you would know why my patience was at an end)
Him- Well I know the area.
Me- Your address must be on some of the paperwork there, can you read it to me?
Him- I don't think its on the paperwork we have.
Me, Then could you ask someone please.
Him- I don't think anyone here will know it:eek:, Is it not in your handbook?
Me- Yes there is an address in the handbook but I don't know that it is the correct one for the office you are in. It also tells me in the handbook that you are closed on Sunday. 5 minutes ago when you promised that someone would call me back tomorrow I pointed out that you were closed and you told me the handbook was incorrect so I want you to give me the correct address.
Him- But I don't know the address.
Me- Well lets narrow it down. What town are you in.
Him- Errrr, Winchester.
Me- Good start, now what road.
Him- Its not a road its an industrial estate.
Me- Ok, so what is the estate called?
Him- Errr, Winnal Industrial estate.
Me- Great, Now what road on the estate are you on?
Him- I don't know what you mean.
Me- Well when a delivery comes to the companies on the estate, what road do they turn into?
Him- Oh, that will be Moorside road.
Me- And what does it say at the front of the building?
Him- Eh
Me- Over the door or on a board outside, Halfords?, B&Q? Utilita?
Him- Er, it says Utilita Energy Ltd.
Me- So lets get this right, you just told me Utility Energy Ltd, Moorside road, Winnal Ind Estate, Winchester.
Him- Yes
Me- So that will be your address then. the one you told me 5 minutes ago that you didn't know.
Him- Er, yes. I apologise, I must have had memory block:rotfl:

We've not even had our meters installed yet and I've noticed a lot of bad reviews lately.
They were suppose to fit the meters last Monday, but we weren't told they'd rescheduled it. They are adding £11 onto each meter as an apology.
Wonder if everything will go smoothly?!0 -

I assume that they told you that you get £10 free on each meter when its installed. That's what the sales guy told me 'So we actually give you £20 to get you started as a thank you'. It was only when the installation guy came that he told me the £10 was actually your emergency credit.0 -

They add £5 credit when they install it, that's what it say's in the manual they gave us. They put a total of £17 on each meter.0 -
I've got a serious panic on, on the 18th October I applied to switch to them from British Gas.
I got a letter the other day saying our supply would be switched over this coming Monday. Have now read some shockingly bad reviews about people being left with no gas or electricity for 2 or 3 days.
I don't want to switch now but am obviously past the 14 day cooling off period. No smart meters installed yet, is it possible for me to get out of this??0
