insydeh20 is just the bios; what make/model is the laptop and did it come with vista from new? Perhaps somebody will suggest an easy way to repair your disk.0

There may be a recovery partition on the computer but I don't know the "F" key to access it.
Other than that you need a Recovery Disk. You should have created one when you received the computer (if it didn't come with one of its own).
A Vista Home Premium (32-bit) (ASSUMED) disk shouldn't be difficult to get these days. Options.

Have found some info says press 0 when restarting and restore from box. Is this the only way as I say I have photos backed up etc so not really a problem.The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
