Quick browser open up window question

I am on a new PC at work and it's set so that only one window will open at a time (it overides whatever is already open) which is frustrating when I want a few things open at once.
Can someone please remind me how to turn this setting off so I can have 4 or 5 internet explorer windows open at a time please ?
Thanks in advance

Hi I would try and reinstall internet explorer on the computer, you will probably need admin privileges to reinstall it. Or better again use firefox! it allows tabbed browsing and saves you opening multiple windows. If you need admin privileges to install firefox you can use portable firefox from a usb flash drive.
hope this helps0 -
Is it IE6 or 7 as that would make a huge difference, and I doubt very much if Fire Fox would be allowed on a works PC, and dont use a USB drive with firefox on or if you put a Virus on my PC I would sack you for gross misconduct.

As you dont state the browser you're using, I will assume the same as me - IE6. I would guess IE7 is probably similar.
You need to go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Advanced Tab. There will be a check box called "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts". You'll need to make sure that this box is not checked (i.e. no tick box).
I hope this helps - it used to annoy the hell outta me!0
