Ban fireworks campaign

There is a petition to ban fireworks except for licensed organised displays on appropriate days. If we can get the signatures up to 100,000 it will be debated in Parliament. When it was first published, it grew very fast but it has slowed down now. With the power of MSE, let's get it moving again.

If only someone would start a petition to ban banning things, that would get my vote0

I am in two minds about this - while I recognise that SOME pets get distressed, I also don't feel I want to spoil peoples fun! I think I have to 'abstain' here. Sorry!
If the petition had called for making it illegal to set off fireworks other than on designated days - I might have signed - but this is too much like 'nanny state' for me.0 -
Signed .... I hate the bloomin' things
Not just pet related - think about all the injuries to people too!
AND the distress caused to many (again both animal & human) by having them go off for weeks & weeks on end - it doesn't just happen 2 or 3 nights of the year
