Hi, any recommendations (make or shop) to get wheelie bin liners which are possible to actually fit without tearing? H

I do most of my online buying at Amazon because of great experiences with them over the years. This link takes you to some heavy duty wheelie bin liners which are probably what you want. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Heavy-Wheelie-Black-Liners-760x1200x1370/dp/B004W7GN0S
There is always this company as well: http://www.binlinersdirect.com/consumer-products/wheelie-bin-liners Bin liners is all they do so they must know what they're talking about - you'd think so anyway?0 -
I never can understand why people buy wheelie bin liners,
I put all my waste in free carrier bags in the kitchen bin, when full, tie up and then in the wheelie bin. My wheelie bin is as clean as the day I got it....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I think using a full sized bin liner is a good enough idea McKneff but we do exactly the same as you. I wish I could say our bin was like yours though, as clean as the day you got it, but it isn't. Now that could be partially to do with the fact that maybe the oul fella who lived here before us didn't use the same system as you and I or it could be down to stuff leaking out of bags etc.
What we do to remedy this is pay a company from Aghalee ( that's small village a few miles from us) £6 a punt to come round with their wonderful bin cleaning machine once a month. They hang the bin onto the back of it rather like the bin me would do and it disappears into the guts of the machinery where it gets washed and disinfected and returned to us smelling fragrant and clean.
If Ticked (the OP) is interested the company is called Enviro Bin Cleaning and their number is 9265 2867. You can buy a six month contract for £24. They have a 12 month contract too but I don't know how much that is, presumably £48 or less. They also do brown or green bin cleaning and I assume the price for that would be the same?
Quite a few houses in our street use them. I don't know what the total area they cover is however or if they have any other branches in NI.
Sorry McKneff but you're probably a little too far away for them to call on you.

what`s wrong with a blast from the hose out back??
I've done that and I've done it with a pressure washer too, including a good dose of detergent. I've also used Jeyes fluid and various disinfectants to try and get the stench out of the bin. Nothing ever worked. It improved it but didn't eradicate it.
When the guys with their magic lorry come round and do their thing with my wheelie bin it comes back smelling totally clean.
I did it on a trial basis first and after the initial clean I was so impressed I phoned the company to thank them. For £6 they did in two minutes what I'd been trying to do for years.
I don't have my bin cleaned every month, I took a break for about four or five months and the effect lasted that long. When Mr Bin's armpits began to stink again I decided it was time to bring Enviro Clean back in. Same result, from the word go.
£6 wouldn't buy you a packet of fags these days mate so you'll forgive me for thinking it's money well spent on the bin. The memsahib is happy with it too and that reduces the number of things I can be nagged about.

This is the NI board, and since April this year we've had to pay 5p for each single use bag we get from a shop (see here - there are certain exemptions relating to food).
They'll be getting that in Englandshire next year afaik.
What we've done for years in fact is to line the kitchen bin with a white bin liner and that's what goes into the wheelie bin.0 -
Thank you all! Her indoors washes the bin out every fortnight even though a liner has been used. Yes, I know, but it keeps her happy.

The Amazon link is about to get checked out, thanks again.0 -

You should check out the bin cleaning company too Ticked. I don't know how much it costs you to put a couple of full sized liners in the wheelie bin every month but believe me when I tell you we have found the cleaning service offered by Enviro Bin Cleaning to top every method we have used in the past to keep our wheelie bin smelling fresh and clean.

B and M sell good one for 69p for 6, usually £1 anywhere else.
mine usually tear because I put hedge clippings and branches and thron bushes in them. I never use them to line a wheelie bin.
As regards paying a company to clean your bin, well good for you, you must have the money to spend that way.
Nothing that a hose out back can't clean I find in about 10 mins every couple of months or so. I always fill it with ordinary black bags that I have in my kitchen bin.
Another strange little tip, As a lot of councils now won't allow you to overfill your wheelie its necessary to push the stuff down to compact it so as to get more in. I had one of those bullworkers keep fit devices (those of a certain age will know what I am on about) I was going to dump it but its brilliant for compacting the waste. Gives you a mini workout in the process as well
I saw specially made device for this purpose on late late show a few years ago, cant find the website though.
