Competitively priced- still no viewings!

Mum's bungalow has been on the market for eight days now and she's still had no viewings. The place is immaculate, competitively priced and only two years old but obviously unless she gets people through the door she's going nowhere. Would you be pushing the agent yet? I know eight days is nothing but she's desperate to buy a new build and part ex isn't an option. ( The agent has been used by us before and can normally shift a property quickly).Any thoughts appreciated.

8 days? I wouldn't start complaining yet. The coming weekend will be the decider.

Do you want to post up a link to it so we can see what we think of the details and offer some advice?

It's competitively priced for todays market perhaps.

    It's TOMORROWS market that counts!!

Snip off a hefty chunk of the price and it might go. Or, end up stuck with it for another year or two and then snip off an even heftier chunk of the price and it still won't go.

It's a buyers market now and no one (with any sense) buys in a falling market.

Monitor house price falls in your area at www.propertysnake.co.uk

this post isn't designed to gloat, it offers possibly the best advice you'll ever recieve on such a (fairly clueless) forum.

That said, there's still a few mugs left out there so it might go. Good luck.

    idiot

    8 days is nothing.
but i would dare suggest it's not competitively priced if no one is interested.

give it another weekend or 2 and see how it goes.

If this is a "fairly clueless forum", why are you on here?

OP, I'm sure you are after reassurance and support which you usually get from this forum. Take heart, my sale took 8 weeks at what I thought was a competitive price and I only had two viewings...

Post your rightmove link and you will be surprised how many helpful comments you will get.:j

That doesn't make you any more knowledgeable than me, i offer balance at least..

Having said that "If this is a "fairly clueless forum", why are you on here?"

    Know what... you're right!

    I'm off. Good luck.

Knowledge does not need to incorporate insults. I don't consider it to be a fairly clueless forum, on the contrary, it is a really useful tool to help people get through a very stressful time.

OP lots of people use the internet or local papers to find houses so 8 days is not long enough for the house to be advertised fully yet. In addition if the EA is doing their job properly they want to make sure they have as many details about the property as possible before they ring up any potential buyer who has an interest in a bungalow.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
