Disabled parking fined but signage poor

As a disabled driver I parked in what I thought was a disabled spot. The 5 or so bays next to this had a disabled yellow sign but this one was a little faded. When I returned I got a fine for not parking in the bay. But as you can see the left of the car is up against the curb so just looked like a small bay. The car next to me also has plenty of room. Going to appeal but not sure it is worth the effort, any advice?

Can't really see - but is this a Council issued invitation to pay or private? It appears in retrospect you agree where you parked was not a legitimate BB space - of the Council, suggest it was an easy mistake to make.
If private, treat it with the contempt it deserves.0 -

You need to confirm if this is classed on an on-road alleged offence by statutory powers i.e. PENALTY charge notice - in which case you need to take plenty of photographs of the faded bay markings and go onto Pepipoo for assistance in challenging

OR If it is parking on private land in which case read this thread:

and wait for the notice to keeper to arrive
Also do you live in Scotland0 -
