Bare Minerals - is it any good?

Tried Bm powder foundation thingy once but didn't like it.
Undereye circles are the bane of my life too, what works best for me is dotting my chanel foundation around the area and blend. Better than the millions of concealers I have tried. I have now been using this brand of foundation for 15 years, can't find any other whose consistency holds as an undereye concealer too.0 -
I love Bare Minerals foundation,I have used it for years.I have very fair skin and I could never find a cream or liquid foundation to match my skintone.I use the shade Light in BM and it is a perfect match for me.I love that I am not aware of it on my skin as I always am with cream or liquid foundation.
I also use the Multi Tasking product in Well Rested over my eyelids and the inside corner of my eyes and it is great for getting rid of dark shadows.I don't however use it under my eyes on dark circles because I find it makes my skin look a little dry.
On dark circles I use this..

I apply it first after moisturising and then apply BM powder foundation afterwards and I find this works very well for me.0 -
I've tried the B m but I have enlarged pores on my nose and feel it makes them look worse . To use it up I put foundation on my nose and use the bm over rest of my face , looks ok . How it looks on you may be affected by the condition of your skin . On tv the models always look good . I prefer a liquid foundation , Clinique or Est!e Lauder double wear .0

I've just got a tester of the EL double wear because I need good coverage and it is great however I find it settles and looks as if I have dry patches when I don't!!
Any help for this would be greatly appreciated!0 -
You are moisturising before applying the double wear ? I do find it's thick to apply and around my hairline I need to make sure it's blended . Today I used less and so the layer wasn't as thick and that looked better . Maybe you could exfoliate to see if that worked . Try using less over the areas it settles in or mix with a tiny bit of moisturiser for those areas . Mine is a tester too . Not sure whether I'll buy it or keep on with Clinique . Have you tried Clinique even better , it's quite good coverage too .Anoneemoose wrote: »I've just got a tester of the EL double wear because I need good coverage and it is great however I find it settles and looks as if I have dry patches when I don't!!

Thanks. I use facial oil but blot before applying make up. It's mainly my nose that looks 'dry' but it's far from it. I have tried using primer and clinique's pore refiner stuff to stop the settling.
I haven't tried the even better but I might pop and get a tester.0 -

I think I tried the Aldi one too and was impressed. Was it in a similiar pen type thing like YSL? We don't have an Aldi round here so I had a friend buy it and post it to me. May have to give them a call...
At the moment I am using a cheapo Collection 2000 concealer but is only okay for spots, too drying for under eyes. Using a Laura Geller dream concealer for under my eyes. It's okay but still not THE one!
Yes, the pen type - I think around £4 ish. The only joy I have is:-
1) Aldi serum followed by
2) Maybeline (sp?) primer followed by
3) Aldi concealer followed by
4) Laura Geller powder
Life is too short for this every morning! Am in need of a miracle product!0
