Argos Free Gift Voucher Spend Over £50 or £100

Options
Hi,
I need advice please. I brought over £100 worth of goods from Argos on the 11/11/13 & 12/11/13. On the 12 I noticed a TV advert about the offer. There was no start date on the advert. I called customer services who said they would honour the vouchers. Today 16/11/13 I went into the store having paid parking and then the fuel on top and the manager said she wouldn't honour the vouchers due to being one day out. I explained the advert and customer services but they refused. I got home and called customer services who then said sorry it's up to the manager and they also had no answer to the advert. I'm very disappointed and feel cheated. I could bring all the goods back and buy them again but this seems silly.

Any advice please.

I don't understand, can you please clarify?

Did you receive the vouchers with your original purchase? Are there restrictions on when these vouchers can be redeemed?

What is the one day out part? You purchased them one day early?

It's probably not going to be enough to go in to a shop with a receipt and trying to claim money off as how do they know you haven't received the vouchers and are now trying to get a double discount? You should get in touch with customer services and arrange for them to post vouchers to you.

Could you not return what you bought then re-purchase them?

I did that once when I bought something at £500 and next day it was reduced to £350.

    Though that was in Asda.

I don't think you have a leg to stand on, you bought your goods the day before the offer started.

It's like buying something for £500 one day and then seeing it reduced to half price the following day, you wuldn't be entitled half your money back.
    :p
