Probably half the people with an email account although a quick search shows I haven't had it yet.
The real problem is why your spam filter didn't block it or put it in a spam folder. I virtually never see this sort of junk.0 -
Been getting app 3 per day in both my inbox and junk mail. Always state my account has been suspended so I just sign in directly to Paypal to check for myself. I used to forward them to Paypal phishing email address but don't bother now as so many of them.0

You should look at the address BEFORE clicking the link...clicking "to see" is an invitation for all kinds of malware and viruses onto your PC.0

I've lost count of the emails I've had telling me there's been 'unusual activity' on my Paypal and Bank accounts, or that my login has been suspended, or that they need to verify my account details, and every time, I've logged in via the provider's website, as I normally do, and found nothing amiss.
Never, ever click on the links in these e-mails.0 -
Thanks for you replies believe it or not this is the first paypal scam I have had0

Maybe your spam filter is working0

My mum called me last night worried about a paypal email that was saying that they had been asked to transfer £120 to some other user. It had all the paypal logos and some links to paypal saying that she should log in to reject the transfer if she hadn't made it.
I got her to hover the mouse over the links and read out the actual address they were going to. Unsurprisingly it was some dodgy website in Russia.
By the sound of it this email had less grammatical errors and odd turns of phrase than the average phishing email. Maybe they're putting in more effort than usual?0
