2 Central heating queries.

Hi...just got new central heating for 1st time.2 questions....Baxi combi boiler.


1. When we turn C H off in summer....do we turn CH off at boiler...or just turn all rad thermostats to lowest?

2. Seem to need bleeding a bit....is this right...best way to do this..? do we turn boiler off ?

oh and another!..is it best to control temperature via the main dial on boiler...or just keep this high and control using individual thermostats on rads? thanks.

Edited just to repeat and warn: do take care if doing it for the first time - once the air is bled the contents can come spurting out very quickly and be very hot. Total amount involved is far too small for any real damage but don't stick your eyes down close to hear what is happening etc.

1) Off at boiler, just leave hot water on.

2) Doesn't matter, and check again a couple of days later after it has been used. (But contents may be warm - cover key with a cloth before turning for both protection and cleanliness.)
