I candy peach, cannot get second seat...?

Hi, I bought an I candy peach 2 years ago for over £1200 including all of the accessories. I only spent this mucb as it was advertised as a pushchair that grows with your family, and thought it made more financial sense in the long run.
I am now pregnant again so need the second matching seat unit but as I candy have brought out a newer model I can't get one. I candy have said I can buy a new updated second seat but this doesn't match all of the other stuff I've already got. It was originally sold to me as everything will match as and when I need it, but now it seems this isn't the case. I feel really cheated and can't believe they can do this. I would never have bought the pushchair if I'd known this.
Can anyone help please?

Most items are only produced for a limited amount of time - unfortunately yours no longer is. You have no legal recourse here, they made no guarantees to you. Would a retailer still have the second seat in stock?0

When an item is sold as suitable for growing with the family that leads the customer to believe ( rightly or wrongly ) that they will be able to buy add ons as and when they are required, maybe it would be good practice to let consumers know that the company will update every two years or so and let the customer decide whether to go ahead and purchase a rather expensive item.
Maybe try on ebay for the second seat, I would be as cross as you had this happened to me, good luck0 -

Is it not common sense that items are not produced indefinitely? I am surprised that people need this spelling out to them.0 -
Thanks jacgues chirac, but no I didnt think it would be produced indefinitely, but its a single pushchair that can be adapted to a double as children use pushchairs until they're about 3 I did expect the additional items to be available for 3 years at least.0

Er.... no! Well at least not when they sell something on the basis it will adapt to changing family life! They would then need to keep older items in stock if promising something like that!
Companies who offer long guarantees either keep stuff in stock or if they cant supply it, offer something else the SAME!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

According to Which the additional items would be available for 18-24 months after the launch of the new model in April 2012 so I can only assume you've been really unlucky.

I'd contact icandy and ask if they can find out if any of their stockists have what you want left.
Or try the secondhand market.
It seems that the new seats were improved after customer complaints so would actually be better and would fit your pushchair.0 -
So the newer and better seat fits the earlier product, it just doesn't 'match'? Hmm, annoying I agree but to feel 'really cheated' seems a bit of an overreaction. Perhaps if I'd spent OVER A THOUSAND POUNDS on a pushchair I'd be obsessed with it all 'matching' but then again perhaps not...
I'd just have the newer seat and not worry too much about matching. Your kids won't give a monkey's and perhaps a lesson in not having to have the best, most expensive kit is a sound one to teach children."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
HARSH. A new poster comes to ask for consumer advice on a consumer forum and is lambasted for how much she spent and given some sort of moralistic life lesson.
Totally irrelevant and unnecessary.0
