What's your best Freecycle grab?

My Bob the Builder mug. You know you get ridiculously attached to the oddest things? I've had this mug for years, and chuck a complete tantrum if my daughter dares to use it. Drinking coffee out of it right now. I'd gone to collect something else, don't even remember what, and came home with a bag of mugs too0

We were so lucky to get a king size pine bed !! Was in excellent condition and has lasted us ages because the people we got it from were only using it as a spare room bed

Starting to OS again and get life into some kind of order! :T0 -
I was lucky enough to be given an upright freezer, that lasted about 2 years and when that died another chest freezer that is still going strong 3 years later. Both were in a sorry state but after a good clean and hosing on the yard they came up good as new. I was very grateful for both!! And when my daughter was younger we were given a huge box of Animal Hospital toys, she played with them for years and they are now in the loft waiting for my DGD to be old enough for them. When I downsized I did freecycle a lot of furniture so it works both ways!!Slightly bitter0

I got 10 huge bags of loft insulation, just when I needed it!
I have gifted loads of stuff, partly because I am at that stage of life and partly b/c I have cleared 3 houses in the last 3 years!
The things I was so glad to see go to a good home:
my mum's "hostess" trolley went to a local church for their sharing lunches & breakfasts
my great-grandparents 78s went to a group of local DJs for sampling!
my parents "utility" bed (complete with label) went to a local 40s enthusiast0 -
We have given as good as have recieved overall I think, but we have been lucky enough to get a good as new bike for DD1 who was 3yrs at the time, a very long ladder, greenhouse staging, some veg plants. We were unlucky with a few things - an incomplete stairgate & a rug that was used by the previous persons dog...both of which I re-freecycled to people with puppies as was perfect for them. I get really frustrated with time wasters but overall it's a great system0

A complete and working computer and 17" monitor. It took some getting home though. I had to carry it a mile to my house, as I have no transport other than a bike. Glad it wasn't raining!0

I got a bread maker, only a cheapo brand but it does the trick and I'm thrilled with it.0
