Why i think Interest Rates won't go up

Messiah, are you a BTL'er?0

so your saying, that GB will keep interest rate down to win his position..
doesn't matter cos when something went bad when TB was in power.. he just put on his SMILIE FACE and magical wavy hand and the whole nation was brainwashed into everything was fine..
so you see GB doing the same notions as TB.., great plaster of a smile and that wavy hand gesture.. so i think its going to define your logic.
but life has its ups and downs..:dance:smile everyday...cos its free
Live everyday to the Full..cos there is no tomorrow:dance:0 -
With Gordon Brown now taking over, surely he is going to be desperate to ensure that he actually WINS the next election. He is no fool ( especially in monetary terms ), and knows better than most, that lots of voters have gone for BTL, or indeed, other property ventures.
This makes no sense, Gordo's a Left wing politician, why on earth would he be interested in BTL'ers? I notice the first thing he's done is change the name of the party to [strike]New[/strike] Labour.0 -
my understanding is the swap rates and hence well informed people are betting a lot of money are placing interest rates at over 6% for a couple of years.
if your serious then put a spread bet on where interest rates will be next year.
frankly i recon we will see 6.25% within about a year, my feeling is london is still out of control so they will keep hikeing rates while the rest of the country gets spanked.0 -

not yet, but i am seriously considering becoming one !
I just end up being stuck in court, listening to other lawyers who have 'friends in high places', who all seem to 'be in the know' about these things. And well, alot of it made sense to me...so i thought i'd share it with you guys.
~M~I am a Criminal Defence Lawyer, so if you need any legal advice, don't hesitate to ask.
NB - I don't know anything about Civil Claims, County courts or Conveyancing etc etc...just Crime !

I'd budget for a peak of 6.5% base rates within the next three years and a minimum of 5.25% just before the next election. Averaging around 6%.
Of course, Gordie could revise the Government's inflation target from 2% to 3% to ease pressure on IRs.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -
