I don't understand the offence, could you give the exact wording as it makes little sense.
As for the bailiffs you can't let this sit until next year, you have to deal with this now otherwise you will find your current vehicle towed or clamped, so ensure you put it in a garage until it's sorted. I also recommend bailffadviceonline.co.uk on this as well. Sheila who runs the website charges a small fee for help, it will be money well spent, circa a tennerWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Hi Stroma thanx for quick reply. Wording is exactly as appears on collectica letter its the having no Insurance on a vehicle that am RK. I sold the car concerned over a year ago and sent off docs to DVLA they say they didn`t receive them and i am as far as they are concerned still the RK. My current vehicle is a motability car with blue badges and a disabled class tax disc. cheers Gal100

Second the Bailiffadviceonline also post onto pepipoo.com. It's always good to get a wide spread of advice.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Do you have the address of the person you sold it to? And some kind of receipt? Did you post the v5 to the dvla yourself, or did you rely on the other person? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Hi Stroma yes we posted the V5 together. This is where it gets complcated re the car in question at the end of june this year i received a bailiffs letter about an unpaid pcn long story short file a stat dec as all the info on that matter was sent to old address first refused by a court officer appealed then granted by district judge so that went away. on advice at that time i contacted dvla and the police who told me that as i was still the rk i was liable for anything that happened re that vehicle.
the person who i sold it 2 was still at his old address the vehicle had no insurance tax or mot by this time and was off road the person who bought the vehicle could not afford to do all the necessary so on advice from dvla and police i had the vehicle scrapped the person i sold it to is now not at that address and i have no way to contact him0 -
Stroma just thought to add changed my address with dvla 24/5/2012 as dated on my driving license so have no idea where these people get addresses from Gal100

So if it has been sorted why are the bailiffs contacting you? Do you have all the letters concerned from the police and dvla? And you don't say if you have a receipt of selling the car? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

If they come again insist on seeing the warrant, my understanding of it is that they probably have it at your old address. I still say to get further advice on this, as noted aboveWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

i do have some papers in storage the receipt may be there i will look asap. collectica have my new address as did the last bailiffs so dont get why the mags court sent everything to my old one. which they admit they did. am i correct in thinking the bailiffs cannot clamp tow seize my motability vehicle ?0

I'm not 100% sure of that, are you the registered keeper? Motability are strange in this as some say they are and some say no, if you are not then they cannot clamp or tow on thisWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
