Dog Insurance renewal - to start afresh?

I have just received renewal notice with M&S. Am wondering if I would benefit from applying for a "new" insurance and possibly get a Quidco cashback, maybe with the same company?
Is there any disadvantage in doing this or should I just accept the quote for next year?
Incidentally she is now just over 8 years of age with a clean bill of health so far.
Thanks.

Get some quotes from other company's and I'll bet the will be cheaper for the same thing. Then tackle M&S about the cheaper prices if they won't match or reduce it then go with someone else. We pretty much do that with every insurance we have every year. Just need to remember who you are with as it can get confusing ......we called the AA earlier this year and then remembered we had changed to another "cheaper" one oops

If you get a new policy then I expect they would treat it as such - so any claims in the past year (or longer, if you renewed your policy last year with them) would be deemed pre-existing conditions, and any minor health niggles that were noted by your vet could cause exclusions on the new policy.0

Thanks for your replies.
In fact, I have done some research and found that M&S is as good as any and I could get it cheaper if I don't take up the renewal quote and g through the cashback route.
I have tried asking M&S in the past to match another quote but they wouldn't since they believe their cover is better - and it probably is!0
