Itunes says it is 95% charged. And yes 7.0.3 with a message saying vewer version available.
So question is do I backup ( if faulty dont want to back up faults) and do I upgrade?0 -
Just seen previous post. So all agreed? Restore is the way to go?
Or should I just take the phone to the store. I am worried that something will happen again and I've only 12 days of warranty left.0 -
If you're worried about having a corrupt backup, but you know you have a good one from 2 weeks ago, I would suggest do the update, then reboot it, then do a restore.
The issue could be if the device was switched off while it was trying to do the update, that might have caused the problem - although that's just a guess on my part.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
If it is still less than a year old consider buying the Applecare 3 year warranty which is very comprehensive and Apple are very good at sorting problems even if the warranty has expired.0

Thanks for all the help on this thread. My other thread is here in case someone else has similar issue:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/63790416#Comment_63790416
Very strange. Can't update to 7.0.4 yet in trying, I can now use the phone again.
I will still take it to Apple as something is not right.0 -

Update:
Should I be concerned ,do you think?
Yesterday, I received an acknowledgement email for a genius bar appointment at a store nowhere near me. I never made any appointment.
I looked at the store website, and to book an appointment you need your Apple ID and password.
Could this be linked to my returned faulty phone? I thought I watched the guy erase the faulty phone completely but can't think of any other possibility.
Should I create a new ID or just change the password to be on the safe side?0 -
Change the password to be on the safe side.0
