Hi I am using Malwarebytes free and I have paid for Panda antivirus. when i went to install Panda i had a sign saying Panda was not compatible with Malwarebytes, What wood happen if i left the 2 on my computer. I removed malwarebytes but had snap.do search engine which i could not get rid of so i re-installed Malwarebytes. Thanks

Well I assume that its warning you the AntiVirus may think MalwareBytes is a virus. This forum post may be useful:

I'm sure one of the regulars will be able to help with that, but there's a good sticky at the top of this forum that will help too.

Panda's being fussy. The free version of Malwarebytes shouldn't conflict with Panda whatsoever.
Even the Pro version shouldn't - it's designed to run alongside AV's.It is important to note that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works well and should run alongside antivirus software without conflicts. In some rare instances, exclusions may need to be set for your specific antivirus product to achieve the best possible system performance.
Post me a DDS log - should take 2-3 minutes.
Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:
Link
After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:- Double click DDS to run it.
- Click Start
- When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
Copy & paste the contents of just DDS.txt for now and post it here (you may need to split the log over separate posts)0 -
I get the same kind of messages from Norton 360 Antivirus. It seems to be a kind of proprietary bullying ... 'our software is better than yours so get lost' kind of thing. Pretty pathetic really.
My solution to stopping Norton's stupid warnings was to untick Malwarebytes from the startup programs so Norton doesn't see it during normal day to day activity. I can still open Malwarebytes and use it any time I want and Norton doesn't grumble.... Yeah... that's my impression too... :-/
MalwareBytes only scans when you tell it to -- it doesn't stay resident and interrupt the "normal workings" of your PC, so shouldn't interfere with an antivirus program at all.
I seem to remember a version of Avira (about a year ago) that said it was incompatible with Spybot and SpywareBlaster and prompted you to uninstall them. :mad:0 -

Well it does stay resident to the extent that in Services it runs MBAMScheduler and MBAMService. It's these that Norton seemed to detect and be baulking at and as soon as I stopped those two services, Norton was happy. I can still run Malwarebytes any time I choose.... I have been running Malwarebytes Pro and Panda Cloud AV Free together for ages without any problem at all so they certainly work together, although I can't comment on the paid-for version of Panda..
However as Waddler posted, Panda can be a bit fussy at times. For example I am unable to use Shadow Defender without first disabling Panda then enabling it after Shadow Defender is up and running.
But apart from that an otherwise excellent combination - for me anyway.0 -
I seem to remember a version of Avira (about a year ago) that said it was incompatible with Spybot and SpywareBlaster and prompted you to uninstall them.
IIRC, that was to do with Avira introducing 'Hosts' file protection, which was already being carried out by SpyBot's 'Immunise' feature.
Another nail in the coffin for my use of Avira, coupled with the bundling of toolbars and non-Avira adverts.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
