Quick silly q on tax credits!

Ive always had me tax credits paid to me my giro cheque (you know, you take it to the post office to cash), yesterday i rang them and asked if they could start paying it into my bank account. Does anyone know about how long this should take?

    Hello,

    Once you have reported the change it normally takes 7-10 working days to process and start paying you via the bank. Give them a cll this weekend to progress chase it and it may have already gone through and they should be able to confirm your new payment schedule and payment dates & amounts etc.
