New Kitchen

hello,

First post but we just bought our first flat so guessing i may be on here again.

The flat we have got needs a new kitchen and bathroom (bathroom will have to wait).

Our budget isn't massive so we are looking for a reasonably price kitchen that we last a fair few years.

I've been told that Ikea or Howdens the best options for our budget. Im slightly dubious of an ikea kitchen as I have plenty of their furniture fall apart on me!

any suggestions of other kitchen suppliers?

any help is really appreciated.

thanks

We've put in many Howdens kitchens. For the price, the quality is good.

I've lived with an Ikea kitchen for two years (fancied a change and weren't expecting to be here that long. It's fine. Everything is working, nothing has broken. The Ikea appliances are great, so far as id the sink and tap.

To choose between the two, I'd choose Howdens. Ikea was a a pig to fit; it took a lot longer than a Howdens, so any saving on units was lost in fitting. I'd happily buy the extras like appliances from Ikea. They were great value.

Howdens is a better quality. I can tell the difference. I'm not unhappy with Ikea, I like the look of kitchen, it's serving it's purpose.

Would recommend Ikea on to our second Kitchen after moving house again, when looking at pricing don't forget usually their is £100 back for every £1000 spent ( in Ikea vouchers )
