Really strange as i have lived teher all my life , i wish they could let me hav eth info they are judgeingme on becuse it has be wrong , i cant open account without credit facility with a decent wage no financial obiliagtin and i have been a britsh citizen living in the same address since birth have had many credit agreements that have been honoured faithfully by myself - what more do they want ?
guess i will just have tow aitina dsee if i can get anything form th credit ref agencies - would going into the bankhelp at all ?0 -
But you said you have lived away from there for about 5 years and now come back. If you filled in the electoral role form/voting form/census documents when you lived away, you will be registered there.
So you need to check the council website and get the form to send to them to ask them to update the electoral role to say you are back home again.
When I moved, I couldn't do the online credit checks but you can apply online for a paper version for £2 and that allowed me to do it without extra documents being sent to them.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Get on the phone to your local council. The electoral services dept will be able to tell you over the phone if you are on the register.
I'm sure that if your not this will be the reason your getting turned down. I'd also think that all these searches will be doing your credit file any good either.Starting debt @ LBM: £8436.51 (8/5/7)
Barclaycard: £5804.52 (May 07) - 6.9% LOB Now: £5315.25
Egg: £1640.99 (May 07) - 1.9% May 08 - Now: £1242.69
[strike]Barclays O/D: £991dr (May 07) - 16.9% - Now: £0.00[/strike]
Debt August 07 £6557.94

I agree with fistfullofdollars - do this ASAP and don't try any more applications until you've found out why you are getting turned down as you will definitely adversely affect your credit rating if you have too many searches at the same time.
