IE 11 Grrrr

Hi I have just updated my ie to IE11 and when I click on the mail icon I get this message:


Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed




My e mail worked before I installed this new IE so what is wrong with it now?
ideas please
Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.

    In the "Search Programs and Files" in your start menu, type "Default" then click "Default Programs" when it comes up and click "Windows Live Mail" and then on the right side of the window check for where it says "Set Default Programs," set this as your default program.

    Nice one GlasgowTech, perhaps this will solve my prob too: whenever I click on a mail hyperlink in IE11, it opens Chrome!

    HAHA! Probably just the icon pointing to chrome rather than the mail client. should be able to change in the same way.
