Star blinds what a nightmare.

I am having serious problems with star blinds and wondered if anyone can advise what I should do. The full story is below (I have been keeping details listed as I went along!).


Order placed 20/04/07 for 3 blinds paid £75 deposit, provisional fit date 04/05/07.

Called to chase on 21st May as no contact from Star Blinds and was told would be ready for that Friday 25th. Informed my rep had left company and we should have spoken with new rep but this had not happened.

No contact received so recalled on 30th May and was put through to a voicemail, left message.

1st June called again and left another message.

Spoke to Terry who advised that the other rep was receiving my blinds that day and I should hear soon about the fitting.

Tuesday 5th June, left message for Terry on voicemail as not heard anything further.

Thursday 7th June, received call back from Terry advising me (again!!) that the blinds were being delivered that day to the nearest rep who would be calling me back that day to arrange fitting.

Friday 8th June. Called and requested Complaints, got vmail for Helen Stephen. I left a message advising I would like an immediate call back for a refund. Also called Terry again and left message on his vmail. I advised that the rep had still failed to call me as promised and that I had previously told him I would be requiring a refund if this did not occur by today. As this is now the 3rd Thursday when my blinds were supposed to be delivered and a call received I have no faith in the company’s promises so I require a refund.
Terry called back, he has 2 roller blinds, the vertical was delivered to the old rep so needs to be remade. Terry agreed that instead of paying total of £155 would only need to pay £100, so have balance of £25 to pay. I should now receive a call next week to arrange fitting.

Monday 18th June. Called Terry on mobile but reception poor, Phone cut off on me. Terry called me back and said would speak to rep and call me back that day. I advised dates of holiday and told him I wanted it resolving beforehand.

Wednesday 20th June. Still no response from Terry so called head office and asked to speak to customer service manager, was transferred to Terry’s voicemail. Left a message informing that I was still awaiting a call as promised on Monday. I expected an immediate response and my blinds to be fitted this week as I had repeatedly advised this was the last date or monies refunded.

I am sooooooooooooo fed up now with this.
Make £5 per day in August= £100/£155
Paid MS- £5+ £10 GR, £5 RE, £15 MS
£65 ebay profit
Waiting on payment- E160 BAI
