Any experiences similar to the following. ?
Recently a relative died and the bank advised transferring the balance in a current a/c to a saver account and to freeze the current a/c to prevent further credits to and debits from the a/c. This was agreed, 6 weeks later I found that the bank had transferred sums from the saver a/c to the frozen current a/c and then paid DWP amounts claimed as overpayments after death from the frozen current a/c. The claim by the DWP on Doc ORG55 was fraudulent as my relation was entitled to all 'direct to bank' payments credited to the current a/c, after 4 months of tel calls and Formal Complaints to DWP the amounts transferred by the bank have now been repaid by the DWP to the estate of my relation.

So, it’s all settled, isn’t it? What more do you want?
The claim by DWP might have been erroneous, but it certainly wasn’t fraudulent.0
