Make and model would help...No free lunch, and no free laptop

The most common fault when a pilot light keeps going out is a faulty thermocouple.
The part is cheap - a few pounds - and normally a can be fitted in a few minutes by a qualified fitter.0 -

I very much doubt if your Vokera Compact Combi has a pilot light and turning a dial to reignite it doesn't sound right to me.
well my heating/ hot water goes off and when i check my boiler the red light is illuminated. i turn the reset button dial and the light goes green and my boiler fires up so i assume this is a pilot light reset? maybe i'm wrong and this is something else:o but i defffo turn a dial and it fires up again;)
gas man is coming tomorrow god i hope it's something inexpensive:(0 -
Have you read its user manual? .... about 30s of googling enabled me to find a user manual. Firstly that says it works by electronically lighting the gas and as a result has no pilot light. Then it explains that the red light being on means the boiler has performed a "safety shutdown" and while this can be reset it says you should call an engineer if it reoccurs.well my heating/ hot water goes off and when i check my boiler the red light is illuminated. i turn the reset button dial and the light goes green and my boiler fires up so i assume this is a pilot light reset? maybe i'm wrong and this is something else:o but i defffo turn a dial and it fires up again;)
