C&A is still pretty cutting edge I think.

I have done. She says she doesn't know what SHE'S going to get them, let alone me!

And if I keep pestering her for suggestions she just ignores my texts:(:(
I wonder if you've asked or she thinks you've asked 'Can you give me some idea of what to do get boys for Xmas' rather than 'what brands of clothing are they into?'

My kids have 2 sets of Grandparents, 2 x Great Grandmother, 2 x Aunts, 2 x G-Aunt/G-Uncle. Each relative asks me to think of something on their behalf of what to get and sometimes I find it difficult to know what to suggest, especially for teenage boys who are harder to buy for as they get older. I asked my sister if she had any suggestions for me to get my nephew/neice (twins), everything I came up with either her or my Mum had beat me to it and sis said she was finding it more difficult this year. Twins are 12 3/4.

If you see Grandsons, can you ask them what brands they think 'cool'. in a roundabout way.

You've met my teen then. :D And when threads like this start I count my blessings that he really is not into labels. ;)

Think he might like the Monster Energy tops mentioned earlier though.

Snap! Although mine is not quite a teen (he's 12) but he could not care less about clothing or labels. If it fits then he will wear it - actually he would still wear it if it didn't fit :rotfl:. I hate all of these superdry, hollister etc labels, all the chavs around here are covered in the stuff.

I can see the point about it being chavvy to want labels but the boys naturally want to look the part, whatever that may be.

I will see if I can ask them again about their preferences but some brilliant ideas on here so far that I never would have thought of.

The boys were here today and after much subterfuge I managed to get an idea of what labels they are into.

The older boy had a polo shirt on, with what looked like a seagull logo.

Turned out it was Hollister which he said was "the best" and the younger boy agreed. One had a Superdry jacket and the other a North Face.

So some more ideas for me there!

If the queues in Jack Wills in Nottingham yesterday are anything to go by, that brand is v-e-r-y popular indeed.

Fab shop decor but the prices......

I have to agree with the quality of Superdry hoodies - I bought my son one from the ebay store 3 years ago and it is still going strong and hasn't faded at all (black usually does). The quality is amazing and washes really well. He also had another one last year - a purple one and it is still the same colour now as when it was bought and it has been washed a lot lol! He also has quite a few superdry t-shirts and I have found the quality of them to be fantastic.

My son is now 17 and likes Jack & Jones, Hollister, Superdry and really likes H & M clothes which are quite a bit cheaper. He has bought a few chinos and t-shirts from there and they wash and tumble dry brilliantly. Think the t-shirts were about £5.00 each - so nice stocking filler if you need something else. Republic is quite a nice shop think my son's favourite brand from there is SoulCal.

Hope this helps you with your quest.

really? I've never had any problem with any of their items. and my OH has a couple of t-shirts and he has no qualms quality wise. are you sure the ones you got weren't fake? there are a lot of them knocking about.

I've had lots of problems with the transfer logo across the chest on the t-shirts splitting and flaking off but I don't use fabric conditioner (I know this can cause problems with transfers on clothing) and always wash them inside out. Mine definitely aren't fakes either.

All my other Superdry clothing has been absolutely fine though. My only complaint is having to buy two sizes larger to get a good fit.

PS it's not just teenage boys that wear Superdry clothing :rotfl:
