Hi everyone ,

I just caught up on an episode of Emmerdale tonight where Amy is kidnapping her own child she put up for adoption.

weird question I know but when did the story line start developing? I don't watch emmerdale often but I heard something I thought was totally wild and random but if the time frame fits in with this storyline, it would make sense......

It's been going a while. She found out Kyle's adoptive parents had died and managed to get to the funeral, identified Kyle and his grandma, tracked them to their playgroup, befriended her and ended up doing some caring for him - she passed herself off as a trainee nursery nurse. The truth came out, gran went ape and didn't want her having anything more to do with him. Amy tried to get custody but social services said she'd no chance. Bit of to-and-froing over the last couple of weeks resulted in the gran serving an injunction against Amy, and Amy then deciding she can't live without her son hence the kidnap.
Now I'm sure I used to have a life somewhere once....

If I'm out when Emmerdale is on I watch it on catch up tv . I'm a bit addicted to it ! Had to google to see if Amy was actually leaving , she did . I liked Amy but suppose it was an ok end to her story .

actually was there any point where amy applied for a passport for the child???

she did not apply for a passport she stool baby jacks one from andy's house when he was out

not far off, see my thread about my ex and kids. because I told my ex I was getting the children passports he wildly accused me of trying to kidnap them??? watched emmerdale the other night and the penny dropped!!

I knew Amy was leaving.


I must try and stop reading the weekly tv magazines in advance.


She will be missed, I wish it had been her mother who had actually done the kidnapping and she had done a runner.


Emmerdale is my only vice, well, the only one I'm admitting to lol
