hi
ive been reading up as much as i can about reclaiming bank charges and what to do if you have an overdraft and making a parachute account.
The best account recommended is Alliance and leicester Premier Direct Account but you have to be earning £6500. I dont. I disabled(tho get no benefits) but run my own business where i make around £3000 a year if im lucky. ( as my monthly income varies from month to month..this can change..but never goes more then £3000)
What account would you recommend to someone like myself to act as a parachute account (ive looked at the basic ones, but the ones that offer debit cards -which i often need for my business transactions) are only Electron or solo which are not accepted in many places. id prefer to get a current account if i can.
My overdraft i have with the bank (hsbc) that im wanting to claim charges back is less than £500, in fact my charges i want back are less than £300, so even if they paid me back, id still be in my overdraft with them
but at least id be closer to getting rid of it or making it much smaller...id be happy to have them give me back my money and that goes towards lowering the overdraft.
