Triton T100e stopped working - repair or bin?

Hi all
First time on this board so be gentle with me
I've had a Triton T100e for about 5.5 years and had no trouble whatsoever, till Sunday evening when my DD was in the bath/shower and it stopped working. I thought she'd turned it off as she can reach but it wasn't her. It came back on immediately. Fast forward to Monday am, I'm halfway through my shower when it went off again, and the low pressure light came on. It wouldn't switch back on, then Tuesday am was the same scenario. My Dad just been, cleaned filters etc and while there was a bit of rubbish in there, there wasn't a lot.
It switches on then immediately off again. Dad said it 'might' be the thermostat BUT looking at the forums etc, it's an obsolete model and even if the problem was identified I can't get replacements parts.
Does anyone have any ideas or do I need a new shower?
TIA
Susie

ring the Triton helpline , they will advise what is a straight swap
will then go straight back on the existing connections
Wickes also do own brand showers that are Triton
seems you are looking for a 8.5kw

Is this it?
These guys used to have a forum but I can't find it now. You could try phoning them and describing your problem and see what they think the likely cause and cost of replacement parts is.
Might be worth £10-20 to try and get it working but if it is £50+ and could be various things then a replacement may be a better option.0 -

£50 for a new shower (assuming 8.5kwh).0 -
Remember that if you replace with a unit with a higher kW rating then you may need to upgrade the circuit cable and fusing. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Many thanks for all your replies.
I emailed triton and they said it 'might' be the solenoid, I looked up the price for a spare and at £33.22 + P and P I've bit the bullet and got a new shower for £53.99!
Just hope it's not too far away from the old ones shape as my tiles will look odd!
