Faulty clothing

Hello first time poster with a question.

Last may I bought some very expensive motorcycle clothing its Gortex and guaranteed water proof with a five year warrantee, well after I bought it we had the best driest summer didn't we so they didn't get much use. Any way now I have used it in the rain the jacket leaks so I returned it to the shop who have sent it away for testing, Its now been a month and when I call they just tell me they are waiting to hear from the manufacturer. Meanwhile I am without any waterproofs.

My question is what are my rights, how long should I give them to resolve the issue. Any advice appreciated.
