Hi
I've got a blue screen and the following message on my PC. It is Windows XP. Is it dead or can it be revived?
STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error/SystemRoot\System32\ntd11.d11
I have googled it but don't understand the replies. Is it worth taking to be repaired or is it dead?
Any advice welcome.

Have you got the original installation disc (or did you make the repair discs when you first bought it)?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -

I have restarted the pc in safe mode and reached another blue screen with longer message which starts
A problem has been detected with your computer and windows has been shut down to protect your computer. etc
Can put whole message on if it helps.0 -

Could be any number of reasons, e.g. the XP installation is corrupt, or it could be hardware, maybe some of the memory has failed.
I'd do a fresh Ubuntu installation on it. If that works, it was the XP installation. If it doesn't, the hardware is failing. Probably.0
