Passport question - Turkey
Backbiter
I'm travelling to Turkey for 2 weeks at the end of July. My passport is valid until November - 3 months after I return.
Does anyone know if Turkey requires 6 months validity on Passports?
Many thanks in advance.

You need 6 months validity on your passport - need to get new one - costs £65? to renew - passport will show remaining months added to it i.e. will expire november in 10yrs time. Hope this helps. Just done ours came back within 2 weeks.0

People will tell you, you don't. But the offical line is you do.
Most travel agents & airlines insist you have a min of 6 months anyway.0 -
if you dont already know there's a charge of £10 per person for a visa which you pay at the airport in turkey
hope this helps!!!0 -
& make sure you have ONE £10 PER PERSON - not £20 for a couple. I've heard of them saying one note (whatever value) one person no change:mad:
Where are you going?
I go to Turkey, I was there last month:D0 -

I am staying at the kadikale resort, we also been a couple of times to gumbet the bodrum area is great, what did you think of turgutreis? how did it compare to olu deniz0

The hotel was fab.
But I don't think ANY beach can compare with Olu Deniz.
We hired a car & drove to Efheses for the day, that was great.
We went to Gumbet one day to see it, we didn't like it, we like smaller quieter resorts.
Olu is all restaurants & hotels & a few bars, but no clubs, you gotta go to Hisaronu for that.
Personally the Fethiye area wins hands down for me, but thats not to say I didn't like or enjoy the Bodrum area.
We did enjoy exploring Bodrum as well. Went for a sunset meal to Gumsuluk, it was fab, have you ever been there?0 -
no i havent ,but may do this trip, we been to Efheses and other trips, we also love the boat trips, we could spend most of the holiday just sailing, but we must try and see other of parts of turkey, maybe we will try olu deniz next year, thanks for you reply, suzy0
