You have to be over 18 to use E-Bay. Report them asking to view the messages where they admit to being under age.

I would second the suggestion to phone ebay- admitting they are 12 means that they are in breach of ebay rules and should not therefore be trading.

They can't be aged 12 and own the account, as they wouldn't have been able to open a Paypal account and link it to their credit card and a bank account, the only way they could pay would be sending a payment via their parents accounts and that would involve knowing their parents passwords which sounds like a funny set up. Ebay is supposed to close accounts that are opened by minors , suppose they must have put a fake date of birth in to bypass detection (if they are 12 and its not some saddo adult having a laugh), which is fraud. The feedbacks would vanish when they banned the buyer.

Also complain to Paypal , someone who claims to be aged 12 has paid for an item from you, the account holder has either been hacked or the account owner has disclosed their password to someone , and they may attempt numerous chargebacks, worth reporting them anyway.
NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself"

They could actually mean that they are a size 12, which would indicate that they have a small adult frame. It sounds as if possibly English isn't their first language or that they have problems with writing & spelling.

If this is the stance that Ebay is taking then unfortunately I doubt you'll be able to get the feedback removed.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I received a negative from someone stating that the item wasn't an adult size mask and the material was torn, neither of these things were true at the time of posting, unless it was damaged in transit it couldn't have been torn, they also went on to mention that they were twelve and the mask still didn't fit them, I should have known they were going to be a problem since they wanted me to make sure I posted it the very next day which was a Sunday.

I accept negatives are inevitable I just find it a bit depressing getting one for unfounded reasons on a relatively new account, I have contacted the seller expressing my disappointment at receiving the negative from them and I would have been happy to resolve any problems if they had contacted me prior to leaving feedback, but I have not received a reply, the person has left 5 feedback, 2 of which are negatives, I was under the impression you had to tick a box acknowledging that you had contacted the seller about the problem before you left negative feedback.

Is it likely I could convince eBay to remove the negative?
is that true about having to tick a box before leaving a neg, lve never heard that before

you only tick a box to say you have contacted the seller if you make a claim

Frankly feedback as incoherent as that isn't going to put any sane buyers off trusting you.

True, but the buyer may also have left potentially damaging low stars.

In which case you can make a response (yes?) to the feedback saying how well you dealt with the issue - without disparaging the buyer. Better than saying nothing.
