My too eat wet food out of bowls similar to this:

And they have dry food out of shallow plastic bowls.
The ceramic is just easier to clean than plasticYou had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
Mine eschew plastic bowls. They'll tolerate metal bowls, grudgingly. They just have basic range crockery.0

For water she has ceramic mason bowls.
For food she has stainless steel shallow dishes which have a rubber ring to prevent movement, on a non-slip mat.
We also had a problem with her sticking her snout in and moving the bowl around lol, not so much now.0 -
I have two bowls one for water and one for dry food. in the evening I feed wet food from a plate. because my cat is a 'flat faced' Persian it is easier for him to eat from a plate. anything in a bowl is impossible for him to eat around the perimeter of it.0

I've heard from two different vets, that plastic bowls may be a contributory fact in 'chin acne'. Don't laugh, it's a real condition! Our ginger cat had it years ago even though he eats from ceramic or stainless steel bowls. Next door's ginger cat, also by a bizarre coincidence, has had 'chin acne' and he does eat from plastic bowls. I buy those high sided bowls from Ikea (they look like rice bowls) for our three and they rarely drag the food over the edges.0

Ceramic bowl for food, a metal one for water, and a plastic ball I chuck a few biscuits in to keep him amused.0

Ours actually eat and drink out of one of those dual stainless steel dog bowls on a stand type thing.
If anything, they have been drinking a hell of a lot more water out of that than they used to out of their previous plastic bowl because I have to refill it every day. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -
Plastic wilko/morrisons cat bowls. They don't really care, as long as they get at the food!0

Ceramic for my cat, he does get chin acne with plastic! So it's ceramic for wet and dry food and occasionally some cat milk which he gets in a
Metal dish0
