Hi
I am just after a bit of advice about my meter reading, my previous estimated bill was 48337 (my readings have been estimated for a few years as I am always at work when the meter reader calls. but I have checked my reading today and it is 22020, but I cant work out if I am in credit or debt.
I am loosing sleep over this incase I owe eon thousands.
please help:(

Seems pretty obvious, unless you have read an electric dial meter wrong ( easily done ) you are in credit by 26000kwhrs .0

£3400 in credit:eek: This will be a fun one sorting out0

Unless you have misread your meter, as sacsquacco suggests is possible, it does sound like you have substantial credit. Do double check your reading though, because for E.On to estimate that you have used 26,000 extra kWh than you actually have, even over two years, is extremely high.

Morning partydancer,
I have replied to your thread also on the other forum.
The guys here have given you an answer, but as I said on the other forum, this will need looking in to, why have we over estimated so much.
Does the reading you have taken today fall in line with previous accurate reads, when did you last read the meter?
So it will need some investigation.

Its hard to understand how you've managed to get into this situation - don't you ever read your meter and check it against the bills.
Even when I was at work, the meter reader would leave a card to say he'd been so that I could phone in a reading. However I always checked the meter when a bill came in and unless it was only a few units out I would always phone in a correction.
No way would I allow my bills to get so far out of sync with my meterNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Also Sangamo Weston electric meters stop dead if theres a blank in the last digit. Meter readers are not aware of it being stopped and record the blank as a zero0
