For a complete body respray you are looking at IRO £1000.

Wow. Does that include full rust proofing etc?

Looks like it could be worth a DIY job if the car's value is less than £1000. It might have obvious brush strokes like the jobs jeremy clarkson, richard hammond, and james may do in their silly top gear challenges but it will be much cheaper :)

If the scratches aren't too deep some t-cut original might get rid of them. Just be careful you don't rub too hard and make sure you give it a good wax afterwards to protect the new surface. It's back breaking time consuming work but it may be worth it.

colour changes are generally not a good idea, unless you spend a lot more than a £1000, you will have to take the glass and interior trim out to make sure the whole car gets painted , a lot of hassle ,, best to stick to the original colour

If you have a blue corsa and want a red one forget painting, sell the one you have and buy the one you want

    Thanks for all the replys.

I was thinking around £1000 so i'm glad you said that.

The scratches are too deep to t cut.,i did try but it didn't do much. And i wanted to spray it the same colour has my rover (which i'm selling) which is a really bright turquoise colour. So i can't buy one that colour.

    Thankyou

Be very careful who you let spray your car, there is a vast difference between a good and a bad job.I speak from experience.

I would be more interested in seeing what sort of job the painter has done on another vehicle, than saving a few quid.

get recommendations of familey and freinds in your area, maybe join a local car forum and ask on there for any local body shops that do a good cheap job.
Would also advise doing it the origional same colour as this can put off potential buyers in the future as they will wonder why the car has bee resprayed, this will be obvious as the door shuts, engine bay ect will still be the orgional colour.
